Patriot Fence Crafters Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

Patriot Fence Crafters announced its 25th anniversary as a full service fence installation and repair company servicing Massachusetts and its surrounding states. The company has maintained steady growth over the years and has built a solid brand and reputation with its customers.

Patriot Fence was started in April 1997 with the goal of serving residential and commercial customers. Since its inception, the company has expanded its customer base to include General Contractors, Real Estate Management and Governmental customers. The company was started by Keith Oakley and Stephen Greene. As President and Vice President respectively, the two have worked together to grow the business and customer base. Now in its 25th year, it has become a leader in the fence installation business with a unique perspective and design solutions for its customers.

The company started as a home based business and its geographical reach was the MetroBoston and surrounding cities and towns. Back then, each job was considered a custom order where materials were purchased after the job was sold. As the company grew, it was able to rent storage space for inventory allowing the company to stock the most common fence products for its customers. Patriot continued to work hard delivering quality products and services and after its 10th year in business, it purchased a building and relocated operations to Danvers MA where they have been for the past 15 years. The property has room for inventory, office space for staff, a place to build and customize products and an outdoor display.

Shortly after moving into the new building, the economy and company went through some lean times. “There were some very good years but also some very bad years. During the bad years, there were less customers that could afford our services and banks reduced credit lines to minimize their risk. It was hard to survive but we never gave up.” said Oakley. Greene added “This made it challenging to invest and grow the business and we worked to keep the company running.” Patriot never lost focus and its ability to produce high quality products and services.

The Patriot team now consists of sales, administrative, yard staff, installation crews and fence builders who deliver in stock and customized fence products to its customers. The company is positioned for large scale fence projects that require extensive design and installation services. But still has a large customer based for residential installation services and fence repairs.

“We thank our loyal customers that helped build our brand and get us to where we are today,” said Oakley. “But our work is not done. We are training and teaching our younger team members in the company to carry us forward for the next 25 years.” said Greene.
